John Kapetaneas is a coordinating producer for ABC News "Nightline" and "Impact x Nightline" on Hulu.

His work in broadcast and streaming takes audiences to the frontlines of the story and he has been honored with many of the most prestigious awards in television and journalism. His 2019 reporting on the purge against gay men in Chechnya won a Deadline Award from the Society of Professional Journalists ("Am I Next? Gay and Targeted in Chechnya" -- ABC). He has earned multiple Emmy nominations over his more than decade-long career, including in best investigative feature for his 2017 report about child sex trafficking in Cambodia ("Girls Sold: Breaking the Cycle" -- ABC), in best feature segment for his show on the race to find a cure for ALS ("Beyond the Bucket" -- ABC), and in best breaking news story for his 2020 report on the conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ("Conspiracy in Michigan" -- ABC). His previous work as a producer and booker for "Good Morning America" won him an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy Award in 2014.

His most recent work includes streaming features for Hulu on the fall of Afghanistan ("Final Hours: America's Longest War"), the rise of the manosphere under controversial internet personality Andrew Tate ("Andrew Tate: Into the Manosphere"), the trial of the Delphi killer ("Who is the Delphi Killer?"), and the feud between superstars Kendrick Lamar and Drake ("Kendrick v.
